Dinamo arızalarının birçoğu (kömür bitmesi, diyot arızası, bilye dağılması) parça değişimi ile tamir edilebilir. Tamamen yenisini almak her zaman şart değildir.
Uzun süre marş basmak, kömürlerin aşınması veya otomatik kısmındaki arızalar en sık karşılaşılan bozulma nedenleridir.
